Brookfield plans 'Dog•Dash•Discover 5K' to benefit local nonprofit 🏃

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Discover Brookfield has scheduled the third annual "Dog•Dash•Discover 5K," with all proceeds set to be donated to Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever.

This year, the race will start and finish at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield.

Scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 16, runners will set off at 9 a.m to navigate through the suburbs of Brookfield. Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs, regardless of whether they choose to run or walk. A post-race event will offer music and food.

Registration costs $35 per racer with dogs running free and includes a race shirt, race bandana, a finishers doggie bag and a donation to Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever.
