Bucks use their second round selection on forward Tyler Smith

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (CBS 58) - After selecting 19-year-old guard AJ Johnson 23rd overall in the first round on Wednesday, the Milwaukee Bucks went with a different position in the second round.

The Bucks selected forward Tyler Smith with the 33rd overall pick on Thursday.

Smith is a 19-year-old who played for the G League Ignite last season. He averaged 13.7 points and 5.1 rebounds including 36% from 3pt range with the Ignite.

Smith was a 5-star recruit coming out of high school before originally signing with Overtime Elite.

The Bucks also took MarJon Beauchamp from the G League Ignite in 2022.
