Budweiser Clydesdales coming to Cedarburg, Ozaukee County Fair
Facebook: @BudweiserClydesdale CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Budweiser Clydesdales will be stabled and on display at the Ozaukee County Fair from Wednesday, July 29 through Sunday, Aug. 2, according to Anheuser-Busch.
The horses will also make individual stops in Cedarburg at Maxwells Bar and Grill on Friday, July 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. and at Piggly Wiggly and Otto's Wine and Spirits on Saturday, Aug. 1 in the afternoon and evening.
The visit's centerpiece is a parade on Thursday, July 30, when the 8-horse hitch pulls the brand's beer wagon down Washington Ave. in Cedarburg, from Spring Street to the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds starting at 3 p.m.
Hitch horses must be at least 3 years old, stand about 6 feet at the shoulder and weigh around 2,000 pounds, according to Anheuser-Busch. Each hitch travels with a Dalmatian, a tradition dating back to when the dogs guarded delivery wagons.
The Clydesdales have served as Anheuser-Busch's mascot since 1933 and have appeared in two presidential inauguration parades.
