MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Police are investigating after a bullet went through the window of a restaurant on Milwaukee's south side Sunday afternoon.

The Milwaukee Police Department responded to JC King's Tortas near South 13th Street and West Oklahoma Avenue around 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, for a report of a shooting.

Officers at the scene said a bullet was fired through the restaurant's window, causing broken glass to cut a customer near the ear. No other injuries were reported.

A CBS 58 news crew saw officers searching the area for shell casings while employees of JC King's Tortas cleaned up broken glass.

Police at the scene told CBS 58 they do not yet know who fired the shot or what led up to the shooting.

The investigation remains ongoing.
