Burlington man arrested for 5th OWI after crashing into ditch

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 64-year-old Burlington man has been arrested for his 5th OWI after crashing into a ditch.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office was called to the 3000 block of Fischer Drive around 2 p.m. on Tuesday for a report of a white cargo van that went into a ditch. 

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the man in the van who said that he attempted to maneuver his vehicle from the public roadway into a residential driveway when he missed the driveway.

Deputies observed numerous indicators of impairment.

The man was arrested for his 5th OWI. His driver's license was also revoked due to previous OWI convictions.
