Case of avian influenza confirmed at Milwaukee County Zoo's parking lot, aviary closed for foreseeable future

Milwaukee County Zoo/Facebook MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Herb & Nada Mahler Family Aviary at the Milwaukee County Zoo is closed for the foreseeable future as a case of avian influenza (HPAI) has been confirmed in the zoo's parking lot.
According to the zoo, a deceased wild goose was found earlier this week and tested positive for avian influenza.
To protect the zoo's bird population, the zoo has closed the aviary will be closed.
No animal in the zoo's care has been affected by avian influenza at this time.
