Catch a new view at the zoo this weekend

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you want to see a different side of the Milwaukee County Zoo, this is the weekend to do so. You have the chance to go behind the scenes.

There are ten different tours in all, including a look at the newly opened Elephant Care Center, the holding areas and saltwater baths for the harbor seals, and even a look at the engines for the zoo’s popular Safari Train.

Event organizers say this program gives patrons a new perspective of a place they might frequent a lot and perhaps even take for granted.

The “Behind The Scenes” tours at the Milwaukee Zoo run both Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The regular price of admission will cover this special event, and there’s no pre-registering either. Click here for all the details.
