MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- St. Patrick's Day in Milwaukee means more than just the big downtown parade. There are activities throughout the area to help celebrate all things Irish, and CBS 58's Jessob Reisbeck is set to showcase many of them during this week's 58 Hometowns celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

From an Irish dance school based in Franklin that teaches traditions of Irish culture to kids and adults, a pub and grill renowned for their corned beef and Reuben sandwiches, along with a club that allows newcomers and experts alike to enjoy the Irish sport of Gaelic football, Jessob will take a look at each during the CBS 58 news all week long, beginning Tuesday, March 12.

To kick off the preview of St. Patrick's Day celebrations, we spoke to Corey Webster, president of the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center, on Tuesday morning for a live interview.

The town of Erin is said to have one of the largest percentages of Irish Catholics in the entire Midwest with the parish centrally located in the downtown area. No surprise, it's one of the most popular places to be on St. Patrick's Day.

The annual parade will take place on Sunday, March 17, kicking off at 11 a.m. Just like every year, the Erin Inn Irish Pub will be a popular spot to get special festive drink and food items to go with the special day.

The pub offered welcomed us on Tuesday, March 12 to offer a preview of what's ahead. To learn even more, visit the Erin Inn Irish Pub on Facebook by clicking here.
