MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A big slate of family-friendly events coincides with a forecasted drop in temperatures in Milwaukee over the weekend, and Joe Krauss from B93.3 FM joined us on Friday, Oct. 27 to help us prepare.
Red Arrow Park hosts the second annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee on Saturday, Oct. 28. The free event, targeted at kids aged 2 to 10 and their parents, offers activities ranging from a kids’ costume parade to pumpkin decorating. Refreshments will be available from local vendors such as Weston's Antique Apple Orchard and Doughnuttery Mayfair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Yard at Bayshore will be the setting for the Bayshore BOOgie Bash & Costume Contest from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday. The event features a 6 p.m. costume contest and will entertain attendees with laser light shows and Halloween-themed Fairytale Princess dances.
Sprecher Brewery in Glendale is set to host its family-friendly Halloween Party on Sunday, with activities spanning noon to 5 p.m. Alongside live music and face painting, limited edition Halloween-themed root beer bottles will be available.
After a huge debut for superstar Damian Lillard in the Milwaukee Bucks' season debut on Thursday, the team will be playing the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday at Fiserv Forum at 6 p.m., with a Halloween theme planned for their game against the Miami Heat on Monday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.
