MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Check the calendar: September has almost slipped us by! That is not bad news, as the fall festival season is kicking into high gear. To get a preview, Joe Krauss from B93.3 FM joined us on Friday, Sept. 22 to discuss an action-packed weekend in Milwaukee.
The Edelweiss Kiddie Character Cruise: Marvel Mania will set sail from Edelweiss Cruise Main Dock W. Highland Ave. on Sunday. The cruise will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with admission priced at $35. Marvel heroes will be on board the Harbor Lady.
Those attending should arrive 45 minutes prior to departure for photo opportunities. Lunch and a cash bar will be available.
Fall festivals are also slated for the weekend. The Apple Harvest Fest will take place at Retzner Nature Center in Waukesha on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Greendale Hay Days and Fall Family Fun Fest are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, and only Saturday, respectively, and both offer free admission.
Doors Open Milwaukee will occur on Sept. 23 - 24, offering free admission to more than 170 buildings and over 100 free building tours. Several locations are designated as child-friendly, including Milwaukee PBS and various firehouse stations, open for visits on Saturday.
Pre-registration is required for Milwaukee City Hall.
