CBS 58's Feel Good Fridays: Skating, superheroes and scenic 'Old Milwaukee' streetscapes
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee is gearing up for another November weekend of fun events and festive changes in familiar places. Joe Krauss from B93.3 joined us Friday, Nov. 10, sharing details about upcoming activities, while also discussing that B93.3 is closing in on their switch to Christmas music, complete with contests and ticket giveaways.
The Milwaukee Public Museum is transforming its Streets of Old Milwaukee and European Village into a holiday wonderland. This weekend marks the first opportunity for the public to experience these festive streetscapes in 2023, potentially for one of the last times in this setting.
For families looking for a unique experience, the Wisconsin Humane Society offers Kids Night Out at their Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Racine campuses. Aimed at children in grades 1-6, the event features interactive experiences with pets, crafts and more. It runs Friday from 5 - 7:30 p.m., and participants are encouraged to bring a snack or dinner.
Ice skating fans can head to the Pettit National Ice Center for open public skating. The center offers sessions Friday from 7 - 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11 from 12:30 - 9 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12 from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Admission varies with age, and skate rentals are available.
Finally, Mother and Son Superhero Night at Hamilton High School on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. is aiming to deliver superhero-themed activities, obstacle courses, arts and crafts, interactive games and snacks.
