Early voting begins in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Joe Krauss from B93.3 joined us on Friday, June 21 to preview this weekend’s events in the Milwaukee area.
Strawberry Fest will be held Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 in downtown Historic Cedarburg. The free event features strawberry-themed foods, white-topped booths and activities at Cedar Creek Park. Kid-friendly entertainment includes a duck race, petting zoo and games.
Summerfest Children’s Day runs Friday from noon to 3 p.m. Guests of all ages can enter for free. Activities include the Shorewest wheel, a mural and a Map of Fun with prizes.
The Lakeshore Chinooks play the Minnesota Mud Puppies Friday and Saturday at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. Friday's game includes a championship replica hat giveaway, while Saturday features Kids TV Takeover Night with character appearances.
Railfan Day at the East Troy Railroad Museum is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All operating equipment will be on display, with different trains running hourly. Specialty tickets offer a Behind the Scenes tour.
As part of Make Music Day, the 112-foot "Baby You" hot air balloon will be on display in Veterans Park at 7 p.m. Friday. The event includes a documentary about the making of the balloon.
