Pet food drive scheduled as demand rises for nonprofit assistance
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network held their Purple Light event to help raise awareness to pancreatic cancer on Thursday, Nov. 16, which is World Cancer Pancreatic Awareness Day.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Networks say only 12% of people who are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive.
At the Italian Community Center, the names of loved ones who lost the fight, and others who were survivors, were read outload.
Glowsticks were snapped for each name that was read, filling the room with purple lights.
