MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers have released details for the Bob Uecker Celebration on Sunday, Aug. 24 at American Family Field in a Thursday, Aug. 14 press release.

Gates will open at 10:30 a.m., with fans encouraged to be in their seats by 12:15 p.m. for a pregame program hosted by broadcaster Bob Costas.

Special guests from Uecker’s personal and professional life will join the program and take part in in-game activities, according to the team. One-of-a-kind memorabilia will be displayed on all four levels of the ballpark.

A limited-edition retail collection featuring Uecker-themed apparel, novelty items and a Ryan Duggan poster will be sold at all retail locations, with some proceeds benefiting charity. All charitable proceeds from a 50/50 raffle will benefit organizations supported by Uecker.

The Uecker memorial uniform patch will also be available for same-day application to purchased jerseys.

Ilene Graff, Uecker’s former "Mr. Belvedere" co-star, will perform the national anthem.

Rick Schlesinger of the Brewers said the event will mark the beginning of an ongoing effort to honor Uecker, who served as "the soundtrack to our summers" and a lasting ambassador for Wisconsin.

He added, "It is truly impossible to honor the iconic Bob Uecker in just one afternoon of celebration, but we are putting all of our resources into this special day."
