MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "Pasta la vista, baby." It's time to twirl our way into National Noodle Month, taking place throughout March.
In celebration of National Noodle Month, local registered dietitian Becky Kerkenbush joined us on Monday, March 20 to share her insights on the health benefits of pasta and suggested healthier alternatives to traditional wheat-based pasta.
Kerkenbush highlighted the nutritional value of options such as vegetable noodles, spaghetti squash, brown rice pasta and chickpea pasta.
Additionally, she discussed the importance of choosing healthy toppings and sauces to complement these choices.
