MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you're a total cheese head, you should know Oct.15 is National Cheese Curd Day. Cheese curds, in case you're wondering, are bite-size nuggets of cheese. These tiny bits of squeaky goodness are the freshest of cheese.
Cheese curds may have gotten their start as a byproduct of the cheesemaking process, but they've really come into their own, so says Bob Wills, the owner of Clock Shadow Creamery in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood.
By the way, Culver's, a popular Midwestern fast-food chain from Wisconsin, created this special day in 2015.
To mark the occasion on this special day, while supplies last, they're having a sale on "CurderBurgers."
