MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Sendik’s Food Market and Grebe’s Bakery announced a partnership Wednesday, Feb. 5 that will bring back the Cheese Pocket, a long-time Milwaukee bakery favorite.

The Cheese Pocket, a pastry filled with cream cheese and topped with glaze, has only been available at Grebe’s storefront bakery in recent years. The new partnership will make it available at all Sendik’s stores, along with other Grebe’s products.

"I grew up in my family’s bakery, and as far back as I can remember, the Cheese Pocket was a favorite," said Colton Grebe, co-owner of Grebe’s Bakery in the Wednesday statement.

Ted Balistreri, co-owner of Sendik’s, added, "The level of quality Grebe’s produces in their donuts is a perfect fit with our quality standards, and we are excited about this partnership."
