Chef Tony Ho serves up thousands of handmade dumplings during Luna New Year
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Momo Mee's handmade dumplings are raved about throughout Milwaukee, and according to Chinese culture, they've been known to bring good luck. Chef Tony Ho and his staff make thousands a day, especially during the Lunar New Year.
" This year, we have the dumplings traditional, the dumpling soup, which represents the fortunes," said Ho. "Just the special [...] soup. We make about 800 to 1000 pieces a day."
Dumplings aren't the only food thought to bring good fortune into the New Year of the Snake. Noodles are a popular food eaten to symbolize longevity and green beans are said to help with a successful career in 2025.
Momo Mee will have its Lunar New Year menu through the end of February.
