MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After 45 years, the Children's Wisconsin Foundation announced today they will not host the 2023 Briggs & Al's Run Walk.

Children's Wisconsin says the event cancelled because they want to make it more inclusive.

The event in Milwaukee brings in thousands of participants to raise money for research and more for the hospital.

While they take the year off, Children's Wisconsin is hoping to collect ideas and feedback on how the event can be more representative of the communities it serves.
