WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Multiple men charged in burglaries targeting professional athletes -- including a Milwaukee Bucks star -- have been arrested in South America, according to police in Chile.

Officials said over the weekend, they arrested three Chileans wanted by the FBI for the robberies, some of which happened last year.

In November 2025, Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis posted a video on his social media saying his home in River Hills had been broken into while he was playing in a basketball game.

Surveillance video captured the break-in, with thieves stealing personal items, jewelry, and his Bucks championship ring -- all worth nearly $1.5 million total.

Justice Department

While police in Chile did not reveal the names of any of the American athletes who were robbed, a picture from the Justice Department shows Pablo Zuniga Cartes, Ignacio Zuniga Cartes and Bastian Jimenez Freraut, who are named in federal documents, posing with items stolen from Portis.

Two were arrested last week while trying to break into the home of a tennis player in Argentina, and on Saturday, the third was arrested.

U.S. officials have requested arrest warrants.

Other targeted athletes include Joe Burrow, Luka Doncic, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
