MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Local leaders are making an effort to get young adults and kids involved in the community this summer. 

Alderwoman Sharlen Moore hosted a press conference previewing next week's "All In, All Youth, All Summer Resource and Employment Fair." 

The event is a part of a city-wide effort to connect young people with opportunities that prepare them for a successful future. 

"This is where it starts, it starts with a heart for our young people, it starts with a heart for connecting with them, speaking with the talking to them, letting them know that we see you, we hear you and we want you to have every opportunity that's afforded to you " said Ald. Sharlen P. Moore.

This event will be held next Thursday on April 2nd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
