MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A group called the Coalition to March on the DNC made their voices heard at Milwaukee's City Hall Friday afternoon.
The group says they are made up of several organizations with several messages, like Medicare for all, climate action now, and legalizing everyone.
They say they want to assemble peacefully at the DNC on July 13 next year at Fiserv Forum. The group says they applied for a permit for the march six months ago, but haven't heard anything back from the city.
"We're not trying to control what everyone does, we're trying to unite what everyone does together," said Tom Burke, out-of-state supporter. "On day one in the morning, when the convention starts and we show up and say, we have an agenda, and we want you to respond to this agenda."
The group says before the planned assembly at Fiserv they will march through parts of downtown Milwaukee. They marched part of that planned route Friday night.
