We are very fortunate that our area won't be ringing in the new year with major weather.  Over the next 24 hours a system will slide to our south, keeping any issues away.

Most of the moisture will stay across northern Illinois without much across southeastern Wisconsin.  Tuesday will feature clouds and colder highs in the 30s.  During the day some light rain or drizzle is possible.

As the evening moves along and you head out for New Year's Eve, there could be some flurries or some light snow showers.  This isn't expected to create issues.

Plan on much colder air for the first week of January with highs in the 20s.
