GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Lambeau Field will host a college hockey doubleheader Saturday, Feb. 20, 2027, marking the first hockey game at the stadium since 2006, the Green Bay Packers announced alongside Travel Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin and other partners on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

The event, called the Travel Wisconsin Frozen Tundra Faceoff, features the Wisconsin women's hockey team facing Ohio State, followed by the Wisconsin men's team taking on Michigan.

"We are proud to welcome college hockey back to Lambeau Field for the first time in more than 20 years," said Packers President and CEO Ed Policy. "With three storied programs and two highly anticipated matchups, this doubleheader will give fans a rare opportunity to experience hockey at historic Lambeau Field."

Wisconsin and Michigan's men's programs have combined for 15 NCAA championships, while Wisconsin and Ohio State's women's programs have combined to win the last seven national titles, according to the announcement. Lambeau Field last hosted hockey in 2006, when Wisconsin beat Ohio State 4-2 in the inaugural Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 9, with general sale starting Friday, Sept. 11.
