Colorful bird sculptures flock to Lakeshore State Park in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced the installation on the first-ever temporary public art project at Lakeshore State Park is complete on Tuesday, June 22.
Officials say the flock of swallow sculptures titled "REbirth" features 22 five-foot-tall brightly colored swallows made of regenerable plastic. Cracking Art calls the plastic regenerable because each bird is crafted from re-purposed plastic and will be turned into another iteration of its, according to a news release.

Lakeshore State Park is adjacent to the Henry W. Maier Festival Grounds and Discovery World in downtown Milwaukee.
