Coolest temps in over a month to start the new work week

Did you find yourself going for the sweatshirt, flannel or light jacket Monday morning? I'm sure you weren't alone as temperatures dropped into the 40s to start the day in some communities. Even Milwaukee got down into the mid 50s. It was the coldest morning in almost two months since June 26th!

The cool start to Monday comes after Sunday was a cool afternoon. Dew points finally dropped into the pleasant category Sunday after weeks and weeks of humidity. Highs on Sunday mostly stayed in the low to middle 70s. 

So far this August, most of our high temperatures have stayed below average. More than half of the days this month have stayed in the 70s for highs, but we've had a handful of warmer days in the 80s. Our coldest high temp happened on August 1st when we stayed in the 60s. 

Highs through the week will stay cool again Monday in the mid 70s then warm up into the 80s for the middle of the week Wednesday and Thursday before dropping to start the weekend. 

Dew points and humidity levels will continue to stay low as well. Peak dew points Monday are only expected to reach the low 50s keeping us in the pleasant category. It stays comfortable for Tuesday with dew points in the upper 50s then the humidity returns on Wednesday with dew points in the mid 60s.
