Brewers preview homestand, new fan plaza ahead of Cubs series
OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley paid a visit to Ebenezer Child Care Center in Oak Creek Wednesday, as the "Week of the Young Child" continues.
Crowley spent the morning touring the facility, talking with faculty members, and reading a story to some of the children at the center.
For Crowley, investment in our community's youth is something very personal to him.
"Having three daughters within the Milwaukee public schools, it's important that we continue to promote our young people, continue to lift them up to make sure that they are on the best path moving forward," Crowley said.
Tuesday, Crowley announced $5 million in funding for the FORGE Fatherhood program, which focuses on providing local fathers financial and moral support when it comes to raising a child.
