Crews dismantle crane at The Edison as developer pauses work on Milwaukee high-rise

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A major sign of a Milwaukee megaproject stalling -- the tower crane at The Edison high-rise is coming down.

Crews spent the day Monday dismantling the crane at the 31-story downtown development after the developer paused the work.

Completed, it would be the largest mass timber building in the U.S.

Last month, the developer said they were "pausing development" as costs climb.

We've reached out to the developer for an update but have not yet heard back.
