Crime Stoppers: Suspect accused of shooting man in the legs over argument about money
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An argument over money leads to a shooting. We do know who the suspect is in this case and need your help to find him.
Take a look at the photo of Jonathan Rock. He's 31 years old with tattoos on his neck.
Milwaukee police detectives say on Jan. 25 of this year he shot a man who was working for him.
Here's what they say happened on 720 W. Becher.
Rock had a side hustle where he had people doing odd jobs, and he paid them for it.
One of the men who was working for him was upset that Rock hadn't paid him. He walked up to Rock's van, opened the door and asked for his $500.
Instead of paying him, the victim says Rock shot him in the legs.
Police say Jonathan Rock is a known C14 gang member and on the street, they call him "Roca."
He may be riding around in a white Ford work van, and obviously, he's dangerous.
"With this individual, he was obviously brought up in a gang mentality of violence, a lot of violence, going in and out of prison, shooting somebody else to solve his problem and get his point across," said Milwaukee Police Detective Ed Fitting. "C14, they've got connections in Illinois, Wisconsin and Texas. They were a big deal in Milwaukee a while back."
Det. Fitting says the C14s are the oldest Mexican American gang in the United States.
