Cubs and Padres battle at Wrigley to see who will face the Milwaukee Brewers

CHICAGO (CBS 58) -- A big day on the diamond in Chicago, as the Padres face the Cubs at Wrigley Field in the decisive game three of the National League Wild Card Series.
The winner of that game gets a one-way ticket to Milwaukee for the National League Division Series.
"Winning? Cubs," said Cubs fan Benjamin Gil.
"I have faith," said Sam Kristensen, a Padres fan. "Padres fans, we say keep the faith.”
Anticipation, excitement and confidence from both Cubs and Padres fans as their teams go head-to-head on the diamond to secure the high stakes match-up with the Milwaukee Brewers.
“I don’t have any tension for it," said Larry Forehand, a Cubs fan. "I’m looking for the excitement, the energy that will be in the ballpark. That’s why I’m here.”
Thousands of fans are anxious for who will come out on top and face the Brew Crew. It's a match up fans on both sides say they would make the journey for.
“I’ll be there," said Karolyn Rosario, a Cubs fan. "I like the stadium over there. I've been a couple times, I like the environment. I’m a cubs fan though, but I would love it."
“I would love to go out there," said Dan Angeles, a Padres fan. "I've never been to that stadium, so definitely go out there and hopefully support and come out with the win over there.”
Cubs fans aiming to start the playoffs with a high stakes I-94 rivalry series.
"It always is a rivalry for the Cubs and the Brewers when they get together,” said Forehand.
While Padres fans say its their turn to take it all.
"We’re hoping that we come out with the win and then going to the Brewers and beating them as well,” said Angeles.
One thing is clear every fan wants a date with the brewers this Saturday, Oct. 4, for their first playoff game
