The humidity across southeast Wisconsin started to increase during the day on Saturday with dew points reaching muggy levels in the middle 60s by Saturday afternoon. High temps on Saturday reached into the low 80s with coolest temps lakeside as a lake breeze kicked in. We may deal with a lake breeze again on Sunday which could have an impact on temperatures but the upper half of the 80s is likely. Then the big time heat arrives with low 90s on the way Monday and Tuesday with some dropping going into the rest of the week.
Dew points will continue to surge Sunday into the tropical category in the low 70s. The most humid air of the season rolls in for Monday and Tuesday with dew points in the middle 70s reaching well into the miserable category.
With all of that heat and humidity, the big focus will be on the heat index values for the beginning of the week. Those feel like numbers should reach in the low 90s for most of southeast Wisconsin on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are when the dangerous heat arrives with feels like temps reaching the low 100s!
Tuesday will probably be the peak heat and humid day with feels like temps around 105 degrees for a majority of southeast Wisconsin.
Heat Advisories and even Excessive Heat Warnings have already been issued for many states off to our west. While we don't have any advisories or warnings in place locally for Sunday, but at least Heat Advisories are likely for both Monday and Tuesday.
