Donations to Wisconsin Humane Society matched up to $200K in August
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Humane Society has announced a matching campaign for August, where all donations will be doubled up to $200,000. This effort comes as WHS faces its peak intake season, with many animals needing urgent shelter, medical care and behavioral support.
Funds raised will be allocated towards several critical areas within WHS, including training for dogs with special behavior needs, spaying and neutering services and emergency medical treatments for animals.
The humane society relies entirely on community donations, as it does not receive general government funding or support from a national umbrella organization.
Donations can be made online at wihumane.org/summermatch to help meet the goal and double the impact for animals in need.
