Don't get fooled: Jest for Fun Joke Shop in Waukesha helps people pull off April Fool's Day pranks

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- This might be the busiest day of the year for one shop in Waukesha. Jest for Fun Joke Shop specializes in good, clean family fun. April Fool's Day brings in everyone from your everyday clowns to those looking to rattle their friends and family once a year. 

"The classics are always good as far as jokes go -- the hand buzzers, the whoopee cushions, the fake dog poop," said Jon Archimede. 

There are dozens of pranks, disguises, noise makers and fake rodents to get a reaction from your friends. 

Archimede visited the shop as a kid and that's where he found his love for magic. Now, he owns Jest for Fun and aims to keep the magic going. 

"It's a dying art, with everything nowadays, there's less magicians," said Archimede. 

For him, April Fool's Day is a reminder that we all need to laugh a little. 

"It's about lightening up the mood. There's too many, I don't want to say dark things, but there's too many things that are, ya know, not as laughable for some anymore," said Archimede. "So, it's good to just bring that back because they say, 'laughter is the best medicine.'" 

The Joke Shop is open from 12-6 p.m. this April Fool's Day.
