Door County Candle Co. raises enough to send more than 8,000 candles to Ukraine

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- The Door County Candle Company says it has raised enough money to send more than 8,000 candles to Ukraine.

That translates to 400,000 hours of light for families without power.

Shortly after the Russian invasion, the company created a blue and yellow candle for Ukraine.

You can purchase a $15 candle to simply send to Ukraine or you can pay $29.95 to send and receive a candle.

The proceeds from those candles have been donated to a nonprofit human rights organization working to help Ukrainians.
