Double shooting leaves 1 dead, suspect arrested after colliding with ambulance

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred around 12:50 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 near 56th and Burleigh.

Police say a 60-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 57-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. 

A third victim, a 30-year-old, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-gunshot injuries. 

Officials say the suspect, a 68-year-old man, fled the scene. While the third victim was being taken to the hospital, police say the suspect vehicle collided with the ambulance near 60th and Burleigh. The ambulance driver was uninjured. The suspect sustained a minor injury and was taken into custody. 

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
