Driver airlifted after crash with semi in Dodge County

HUBBARD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The driver of the Honda has been identified as 25-year-old West Allis man Jose Bermudez. He was cited for his 18th offense of operating a vehicle with a suspended license and his ninth offense of operating without insurance.

HUBBARD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Wednesday morning at 11:06 a.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car  crash on State Highway 33 at the intersection with County Highway V, in the town of Hubbard.

An investigation shows that a Honda was driving south on Highway V and a Peterbilt truck towing a trailer was driving west on Highway 33. The Honda entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Honda sustained life threatening injuries and was flown to Aurora Hospital in Summit by Flight for Life. The trucker was not injured.
