Driver injured after semi rolls over due to large, unsecured paper rolls

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A semi driver was injured following a rollover crash in Columbia County.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the semi was making a turn from I-90/94 WB to STH 78 when a large, unsecured paper roll shifted which caused the semi to overturn onto its side.

The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The recovery efforts took over five hours since there were large paper rolls that had to be off-loaded prior to the trailer being removed from the scene.

The crash investigation remains ongoing.
