Milwaukee County drop box listings for the 2024 election

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- As the November election approaches, here is a list of municipalities in Milwaukee County who are offering drop boxes, as well as their locations:

Brown Deer-Village Hall 4800 W. Green Brook Drive, located in front of Village Hall entrance

Cudahy-City Hall 5050 S. Lake Drive, Night depository safe attached to the building

Franklin-City Hall 9229 W. Loomis Road, on the wall on outside of building

Greendale-Village Hall, 6500 Northway, outside of Village Hall

Greenfield-City Hall, 7325 W. Forest Home Avenue, on the wall on the south side of building

Milwaukee: 

  • Atkinson Library, 1960 W. Atkinson Avenue Southwest corner of building on the edge of parking lot
  • Bay View Library, 2566 S. Kinnickinnic Avenue on S. Kinnickinnic Ave, sidewalk near front door and bike rack
  • Capitol Library, 3969 N. 74th Street On 74th St. off the sidewalk on the south side of the main entrance
  • Center Street Library, 2727 W. Fond du Lac Avenue, on Fond du Lac Ave, left of the book drop, which is left of the front door
  • Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Avenue, on the 8th St. sidewalk near the Centennial Hall doors
  • City Hall, Complex 200 E. Wells Street
  • East Library, 2320 N. Cramer Street, East of the station on east side of Parkside Dr.
  • Operation Center, 1901 S. Kinnickinnic Avenue
  • Good Hope Library, 7715 W. Good Hope Road, next to the library's main front doors
  • Mitchell Street Library, 906 W. Historic Mitchell Street, to the west of the branch's front doors on the Mitchell St. sidewalk
  • Tippecanoe Library, 3912 S. Howell Avenue, at the front entrance of the library off of E. Howell Ave.
  • Villard Square Library, 5190 N. 35th Street, directly in front of the main entrance on 35th St.
  • Zablocki Library, 3501 W. Oklahoma Avenue, directly in front of the main entrance on 35th St.

Oak Creek-City Hall, 8040 S. 6th Street, adjacent to City Hall/Library on the Southwest corner of building

Shorewood-Village Hall, 3930 N. Murray Avenue, in the Village Hall parking lot

South Milwaukee-City Administration Building, 2424 15th Avenue, immediately outside the main entrance

West Milwaukee- Village Hall, 4755 W. Beloit Road Inside of front door across from dispatch window

Whitefish Bay- Village Hall, 5300 N. Marlborough Drive Between the front doors

Six out of 19 municipalities will not have drop boxes:

  • Bayside
  • Fox Point
  • Glendale
  • Hales Corners 
  • River Hills
  • St. Francis

More communities in southeast Wisconsin are not allowing voters to use ballot drop boxes during the November election. It's becoming a growing trend after a state Supreme Court decision legalized unmanned drop boxes again in the battleground state. 

In 2020, 66 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties used ballot drop boxes, according to state election officials, and 39 states did as well.
