MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As the Milwaukee Brewers slide into the World Series, they're bringing with them a wave of nostalgia.

"I think it was more stressful at my age now than it was way back in 1982," said Kathy Shulta, fan. "It was just something I'm never going to forget."

The last time the Crew made it to the World Series was 44 years ago.

Fan Kathy Shulta was on the color guard for the Bay View High School marching band.

"We were asked to perform before the last game at County Stadium, so we were on the field," said Shulta.

At 17 years old, Shulta watched the Brewers nab the ALCS pennant for the very first time up close.

"At the end of the game, everybody ran on the field," Shulta said. "So, to be able to say I was on the field at County Stadium twice that day was amazing."

Though they didn't win the World Series, the Brewers had a parade anyway on Wisconsin Avenue, inviting the Bay View marching band again to tag along.

"We got to be right in front of the Brewers, which is an honor," said Shulta. "There was so many people. It was just amazing. There was so much confetti falling down, all the cheers from everybody, it was electrifying."

After Thursday night's thrill, Shulta hopes another parade is marching just around the corner.

"To whoever could be in that parade with the Brewers, I'll be there," Shulta said.
