Family of 8 displaced following house fire near 31st and Burnham

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A family of 8 is displaced following a house fire near 31st and Burnham.
The Milwaukee Fire Department was called to a house fire in a 1 and a half story wood-frame home around 1:50 p.m. on Saturday.
According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, the fire started on the first floor of the home and extended to the second floor.
The family was able to escape the fire without any injuries.
The Red Cross was called in to assist.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
