WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- For the first time, we are hearing from the family of a Milwaukee boy who drowned over the weekend in a swimming pond at a West Bend park.
EIght-year-old Isac Rivera Ramos was swimming at Regner Park on Saturday during a birthday party.
Family says right before they were about to leave, he ran back into the pond one final time and didn't resurface.
His uncle questions the response from the lifeguards on duty.
"I guess he went too deep and when they tried to find him, the lifeguards wouldn't look in the water, they only looked on the grounds," said Moises Garza, Isac's uncle. "By the time they found him, it was a pedestrian who found him, he was drowned already."
West Bend police say the incident remains under investigation.
A gofundme page has been set up to help the family pay for Isac's funeral.
