Fire quickly extinguished at Hickory and Fond du Lac in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a fire early Tuesday, Nov. 26 at a building near Hickory and Fond du Lac. Officials tell CBS 58 that the first unit arrived within two minutes of the 4:31 a.m. call.

Firefighters reportedly located a fire on the building’s exterior at the rear of the property. The fire was extinguished quickly, and searches confirmed the building was unoccupied.

No injuries to firefighters or any other people were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the MFD Fire Investigation Unit and Milwaukee Police Department. A damage estimate has not yet been determined, according to the fire department.
