First cold blast of the season is here

NOW: First cold blast of the season is here

While our normal high for early December still holds in the low 40s, our recent temperatures haven't even be close to that.  The warmest day of the past week would be today with highs in the low 30s and really not even making it to the freezing mark.

After the snow this past weekend, we have a currently snow depth in Milwaukee of 7", and with the coldest air of the season making its' entrance as soon as tomorrow morning, it does not look like we are going to be getting any melting anytime soon.

Feels like temps in the Northern Great Plains this afternoon are already at about 15 below, and with a breeze out of the northwest today, we will pull that air towards us.  Low temps for most of us tomorrow morning will be about 1 to 10 below zero, and with the wind will feel about 10 to 20 below.  Highs temps then for your Thursday will only get to about 15 degrees with a wind chill into the single digits all day long.  If you have to go outside, bundle up and try to avoid the outdoors for longer than 30 minutes at a time.

By Friday our highs "warm" back up by about 10 degrees into the mid-20s and stay that way into the weekend.  It is possible we see snow this weekend, but for now we are keeping it quiet and calling it partly sunny.  A better chance for snow will enter SE WI by Tuesday.
