First round of rain ending with another heavier round Wednesday night

It is a wet start to Wednesday with steady rain falling for most of southeast Wisconsin since shortly after midnight Tuesday night. The rain has amounted to about 0.10-0.25" of rain in most communities. The rain is starting to end in some western counties closer to the Madison area. By the end of the morning commute the steady rain should be mostly done. A few more isolated showers might be possible the rest of Tuesday.

After some dry time Tuesday afternoon and evening, another round of steady rain is likely Wednesday night and this time will likely linger most of the day on Thursday.

Some heavy rain could be possible as well, especially Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The rain will finally end late Thursday evening or Thursday night with dry conditions expected for most of the upcoming weekend. 

Rain totals could reach over 2" in some locations with some spots seeing 2.5". The best chance for totals that high will be in southern counties. Some northern counties might not reach the 1" mark.
