MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?
First Stage in Milwaukee will present “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical” as part of its 2024-2025 season. The production runs from Friday, Nov. 29 through Sunday, Dec. 29 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center’s Todd Wehr Theater.
The musical brings to life the classic holiday TV special, celebrating its 60th anniversary. First Stage premiered this adaptation 12 years ago.
Jeff Frank, artistic director at First Stage, said in a press release, “Sixty years ago, Rudolph flew onto TV screens across the nation and into our hearts forever. We are honored to bring Rudolph and friends back to our stage this holiday season as they remind the world that no one should have to worry about covering up who they are to seek acceptance.”
The show runs around 75 minutes, including a brief intermission, and is recommended for families with children ages 3 to 12 and theater fans of all ages.
Special performances include a Pay What You Choose option on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. as well as a Sign Language Interpreted performance on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 3:30 p.m.
