Fond du Lac Police investigating attempted child enticement incident

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fond du Lac Police Department is currently investigating a report of an attempted child enticement incident.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday in an alley between East Johnson Street and East Follett Street.

A witness called police after seeing a man who was driving a blue pick-up truck stop to talk to a 3-year-old child who was playing near the alley.

The witness told police that they saw the driver open the door to the truck while talking to the child. When the witness confronted the driver of the truck, the truck drove off.

The truck is described as a dark blue Chevy Silverado with an extended cab, a light tint on the front and back windows, chrome strips along the bottom, and alloy wheels. The truck also has a bumper sticker on the back that says 'Teacher's Pet.'

The suspect driving the truck is described as a white male in his mid to late 50's, heavy-set, and approximately 5'6, with white stubby facial hair. He was last seen wearing a checkered shirt and glasses with circle shaped lenses. The suspect also has a birth mark on his face near his left eye.
