Forklift falls on 2 workers at Mount Pleasant manufacturing plant

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A tractor trailer fell on two people at a manufacturing plant in Mount Pleasant on Wednesday, May 29. 

Officials say the South Shore Fire Department, along with the Mount Pleasant Police Department, were called to Case New Holland (CNH) plant located on Oakes Road shortly before 10:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, police say two workers had been trapped under the forks of a forklift that had fallen on them. 

Officials say the forks had already been raised by the time officers arrived. 

The two workers suffered significant injuries to their lower extremities. 

Flight for Life helicopters were called in and both victims were flown to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee in critical condition.
