Former Radio Milwaukee executive makes first court appearance in child sex assault case
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The ex-leader of a popular Milwaukee radio station made his first court appearance Monday, Aug. 10, since being accused of sexually assaulting a child.
Jordan Lee, 44, is charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault.
According to his defense attorney, Lee turned himself into Milwaukee police on July 16.
Charging documents were filed two-and-a-half weeks later, on Aug. 4.
Lee used to be the executive director of Radio Milwaukee. His employment there ended July 23, according to a statement the station provided to CBS 58 last week.
The case goes back to July 2025, when prosecutors say the alleged assaults occurred.
Lee admitted to sexually assaulting a child in October of last year in an email to his psychiatrist, who called police.
He arrived at his initial court appearance Monday out of custody, having already posted a $50,000 bail for release, according to his attorney.
Milwaukee County Court Commissioner Katharine Kucharski officially set a $30,000 cash bond Monday, meaning $20,000 of the initial bail will be returned to the poster.
The commissioner also ordered that Lee have no contact with three people involved in the case.
"These allegations are somewhat unique in a way that I need to ensure that there's just no contact," Kucharski said. "It's the only way for me to know that everybody's safe."
Lee also cannot have contact with any children under the age of 16.
With bond paid, he remains out of custody, and will return for a preliminary hearing scheduled for August 20 at 1:30 p.m.
