MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As we round out the last full week of June, we are reminded that this month is dedicated to Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness - a devastating disease with no cure that robs the minds of the ones we love most.
No one knows this better than former Wisconsin Governor Martin Schreiber whose wife Elaine was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2007.
Since first releasing his book, My Two Elaines, he’s traveled the state giving nearly 400 talks to raise awareness of learning, coping and surviving as an Alzheimer’s caregiver.
Pauleen Le recently caught up with the Schreibers on their continued fight to raise awareness.
