MILWUAKEE (CBS 58) -- Some people aren't happy with the halftime performer choice, with many saying they'd rather have an English-speaking artist take the stage.

As a response to comments online, Forward Latino is launching their 'Puerto Rican is American' campaign. 

It's an effort to combat misinformation suggesting Puerto Ricans aren't a part of the United States.

The campaign will consist of video ads featuring several prominent Puerto Rican Americans, including Milwaukee Common Council President José Pérez and Wisconsin Court of Appeals Judge Pedro Colón.
